Overview
The UT-PR2060 is a 1 GHz active probe for measuring ripple and noise on DC power rails from −60 V to +60 V. Its offset range removes the rail's DC level at the probe, so the oscilloscope can sit at its most sensitive vertical scale on the AC content alone. Probe-only noise is under 300 μVpp at 20 MHz bandwidth and under 3 mVpp across the full 1 GHz.
Attenuation is 1.25:1 rather than the 10:1 of a general-purpose probe, so the oscilloscope's own noise floor is not multiplied tenfold before it reaches the screen. Input impedance is 56 kΩ at DC, which keeps loading on the rail low, and 50 Ω above 100 kHz. The probe is built for low-impedance power distribution networks; UNI-T does not recommend it where the source impedance exceeds 1 Ω.
